These data were acquired for a research project study area within Challis National Forest, Idaho under the National Science Foundation award EPS-0814387, Water Resources in a Changing Climate. Each individual tile covers approximately 750 x 750 meters.  See the vendor supplied PDF report for detailed collection information.Orthoimagery serves a variety of purposes, from interim maps to field references for earth science investigations and analysis. Orthoimagery is useful as a layer of a geographic information system and as a tool for revision of digital line graphs and topographic maps.Individual image tiles can be downloaded using the Idaho Aerial Imagery Explorer.These data can be bulk downloaded from a web accessible folder.Users should be aware that temporal changes may have occurred since these data were collected and that some parts of these data may no longer represent actual surface conditions. Users should not use these data for critical applications without a full awareness of the limitations of these data as described in the lineage or elsewhere.
