EnviroAtlas - Protected Lands by 12-digit HUC for Alaska

This dataset shows the percentage of each Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) 12-digit Hydrologic Unit (HUC) that is included in the USGS National Gap Analysis Program (GAP) or International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) protection categories in the Protected Areas Database of the United States (PADUS). Percentages for GAP status 1 and 2 combined, GAP status 3, and GAP status 1, 2, and 3 combined are provided. The percentages for IUCN categories Ia, Ib, II, III, IV, V, and VI are provided, as well as for all the categories combined. This dataset was produced by the US EPA to support research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas. EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas) allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the contiguous United States. The dataset is available as downloadable data (https://edg.epa.gov/data/Public/ORD/EnviroAtlas) or as an EnviroAtlas map service.
