Published by National Aeronautics and Space Administration | National Aeronautics and Space Administration | Metadata Last Checked: August 03, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-07-17
AIRSAR flew on NASA's DC-8 and acquired data at multiple incidence angles and azimuths over selected geological targets, such as sand dunes, volcanic fields, and alluvial fans. The GRSFE field areas overflown include the Lunar Crater Volcanic Field, Lunar Lake, Ubehebe Crater, and Death Valley. AIRSAR data consist of corrected Stokes matrices for the C, L, and P frequencies and data often exist for 2 or 3 incidence angles.
