Blue Ridge Parkway historic cemeteries This data is available in an interactive web application. The data in this layer show some of the historic cemeteries and graves along the Blue Ridge Parkway that tell stories about the people who once lived in the Appalachian Mountains. When available, the data contains links to photographs stored in NP Gallery. In 2015, a team from the Southeast Archeological Center of the National Park Service recorded the locations of 51 of the cemeteries and mapped the individual graves in 42 of them.
