Published by Louisville/Jefferson County Information Consortium | Louisville Metro Government | Metadata Last Checked: January 29, 2026 | Last Modified: 2025-11-21T17:01:13.000Z
In November 2024, the Louisville Metro Council passed ordinance R-123-24 asking the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness (LMPHW) to create an inventory of public restrooms, handwashing stations, and drinking water fountains.  This map details the findings of Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness's survey of publically accessible Metro-owned restrooms. Facilities were “public”   if anyone could access them. They must have been located in buildings or structures managed by the government, including leased spaces. Facilities were grouped within the same structure.  Details include operational status, operating hours (by weekday), ADA accessibility, and other items. The source data is publicly available and can be accessed here. The full report can be found at https://reports.mysidewalk.com/8a5fc22bd3
