2D Hydraulic Model Results Data for the Clearwater River

Published by Bureau of Reclamation | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 06, 2026 | Last Modified: 2025-11-19T23:14:06Z
Reclamation modeled approximately 21 miles of the Clearwater River (located on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington) as a tool for evaluating restoration potential. This tool was used as part of a dual approach integrating both hydraulic and geomorphic considerations. Clearwater River 2D hydraulic model results are for 2-year, 5-year, 10-year, 25-year, and 50-year return interval flowrates. This zip file includes text file model outputs for a 2D Hydraulic model (SRH v 3.5) assuming a fixed-bed and with steady-state inflows and outflows based on the 5-year return interval hydrology. Model node locations and elevations are reported in State Plane Washington South NAD83. This work is part of a larger geomorphic analysis and hydraulic modeling study on the Clearwater River. The hydraulic modeling effort is documented in Technical Report No. ENV-2023-099: Geomorphic Analysis and Hydraulic Modeling on the Clearwater River in Western Washington, which is available at https://data.usbr.gov/catalog/8042/item/133840.
