ABSORPTION, SCATTERING, ATTENUATION COEFFICIENTS from SATELLITE From World-Wide Distribution from 1990-07-01 to 1990-12-31 (NCEI Accession 9100015)
Global blended Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) data for July-December 1990 was provided by D. Marsico of The Climate Analysis Center from the National Weather Service (NWS), Camp Springs, MD. SST were collected from ships and buoys (in situ) and from satellite. Blended SST's eliminate biases or large scale trends in the satellite data by using in situ data as anchor points. Original data were submitted on a 1600 BPI magnetic tape in ASCII. The documentation submitted included the record format. The data can be currently found in the file L01173.001.
