Published by Alaska Fisheries Science Center | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce | Metadata Last Checked: December 19, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-01-01T00:00:00.000+00:00
North Pacific Groundfish observers collect real-time fisheries dependent data. This data is used to manage groundfish fisheries in domestic Alaskan waters. Fisheries dependent data that is collected by observers is in its rawest form. This data needs to be transformed so that end users of the data can use it for their specific needs. The purpose of the observer interface (OBSINT) is to take observer raw data and turn it into useable data products for different users of the data.
