An Evaluation of Plant Communities and Habitat Quality Following Tall Fescue Eradication in Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Research in eastern NC found fallow borders around crop fields were as or more effective as borders planted to nwsg and forbs in increasing wildlife diversity and abundance. With either scenario, planting native grasses and forbs is often a waste of time and money. A better approach is needed that will save time and money, enable more acres to be treated, and create better habitat.
