This dataset details the type of search conducted on a subject during a motor vehicle traffic stop, as well as the criteria used by the officer for conducting the search.

Both the federal and state Constitutions provide every individual with the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. This order provides general guidelines for Austin Police personnel to consider when dealing with search and seizure issues.
