The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) contributed information describing 29 ocean floor geological samples in their local collection to the Index to Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) database to increase their discoverability and access. The samples include box and gravity cores collected by PMEL during cruises PFLUX84 and PFLUX85 of the ship Discoverer, and cruise PLUME85 of the Surveyor.
