The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) Department of Marine Geosciences made a one-time contribution of data describing geological samples in their repository collected from 1957 to 1976 to the Index to Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) database. Information was contributed on 1098 gravity cores, 365 piston cores, and 317 dredges collected on 86 cruises of the Columbus Iselin, Gerda, Halimeda, James M. Gillis, Pilsbury, NOAA Researcher, and Vicca, in the Atlantic Ocean.
