Attributes for NHDPlus Version 2.1 Flowlines for the Conterminous United States: Wet, Dry, and Total Deposition of Select Constituents from Community Multiscale Air Quality modeling system (CMAQ) for 2002 - 2012
This metadata record describes 19 annual Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program variables ( kilograms per hectare) for each year between 2002 - 2012 ( Zhang and others, 2012, Schwede and others, 2014) compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2.1 data suite hereto referred to as (NHDV2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlusv2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative upstream conditions. Network-accumulated values are computed using two methods, 1) divergence-routed and 2) total cumulative drainage area. Both approaches use a modified routing database to navigate the NHDV2 reach network to aggregate (accumulate) the metrics derived from the reach catchment scale. (Schwarz and Wieczorek, 2018) The following variables are in this dataset:
1) AWD_OXN_T: Bias and precipitation adjusted wet deposition of Oxidized Nitrogen.
2) AWD_REDN_T: Bias and precipitation adjusted wet deposition of reduced Nitrogen.
3) AWD_S_T: Mean precipitation adjusted wet deposition of total Sulfur.
4) AWD_SS_S: Mean precipitation adjusted wet deposition of sea salt sulfur.
5) AWD_CL: Mean precipitation adjusted wet deposition of chloride.
6) AWDEP_NA: Mean precipitation adjusted wet deposition of sodium.
7) DD_OXN_T: Mean dry deposition of total Oxidized Nitrogen.
8) DD_REDN_T: Mean dry deposition of total reduced Nitrogen.
9) DD_S_T: Mean dry deposition of total Sulfur.
10) DD_SS_S: Mean dry deposition of sea salt sulfur.
11) DDEP_CL: Mean dry deposition of chloride.
12) DDEP_NA: Mean dry deposition ofsodium.
13) TD_OXN_T: Mean total deposition of total reduced Nitrogen.
14) TD_REDN_T: Mean total deposition of total reduced Nitrogen.
15) TD_S_T: Mean total deposition of total Sulfur.
16) TD_SS_S: Mean total deposition of total sea salt sulfur.
17) TDEP_CL: Mean total deposition of total chloride.
18) TDEP_NA: Mean total deposition of total sodium.
19) TD_N: Mean total deposition of Nitrogen (Oxidized + Reduced).
