Barton Springs Salamander Eliza Spring Capture-Recapture Histories 2014-2016

Published by data.austintexas.gov | City of Austin | Metadata Last Checked: October 31, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-30
This file contains the capture histories for Eurycea sosorum from Eliza Spring from 2014 to 2016, formatted for input into program MARK. The first 21 columns are the capture history, followed by the number (1) of individuals with that observed history, followed by a semicolon. Each primary survey consists of three secondary surveys- so each group of three columns contains the capture histories for a single individual for that given survey. Data include all size classes of E. sosorum, and are based on photographic identification. Because patterns of small juveniles change quickly, these data (as formatted) are unlikely to be reliable for open-population based metrics. The survey month-years, consecutively, are as follows: Oct-14, Feb-15, Aug-15, Nov-15, Mar-16, Jul-16, Aug-16
