Black Toad Species Habitat Model (Categorical) - NatureServe [ds3266]

Published by California Department of Fish and Wildlife | State of California | Metadata Last Checked: February 26, 2026 | Last Modified: 2026-02-10T18:47:35.000Z
This Species Habitat Model was produced by NatureServe to predict the habitat distribution for Anaxyrus exsul (Black Toad). The data represents predictions of suitable habitat based on relationships of species occurrences with environmental predictors across the model area. NatureServe includes two standard spatial outputs for Species Habitat Models. The continuous predictions map is a spatial layer with values from 0 to 1, indicating relative likelihood that habitat occurs at a given location. The categorical predictions map indicates the likelihood of habitat as distinct classes (e.g., high, medium, low, and not habitat). These outputs should not be interpreted as a direct estimate of species presence or absence. For more information about the methodology and the model metadata, please contact Nature Serve at data_science@natureserve.org. Model created by NatureServe on: 04/25/2019. Revisions completed by California Department of Fish and Wildlife on: 09/23/2025.
