Boquet River radio telemetry transmitter drag coordinates

Published by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2024-08-08T00:00:00Z
Tabular dataset containing coordinates where radio telemetry (Lotek) transmitter was located during tag drag in the Willsboro cascades, Boquet River, NY during 2020. The transmitter was coded as frequency 164.380 code 25 with a 5 second fixed ping rate. The transmitter was held underwater at various locations throughout the cascades to assess the transmitter signal strength by five, fixed radio telemetry receivers located throughout the cascades. The intent was to use these data to develop a "radio map" to be used in a random forest model to help predict tagged landlocked Atlantic salmon movement throughout the cascades.
