Brook and Brown Trout Survival In a North-Central Pennsylvania Watershed

Published by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2025-04-11T00:00:00Z
These data include input to a Kaplan-Meier survivorship model for Brook and Brown Trout in the Hunts Run watershed in north-central Pennsylvania from September 2012 - February 2023. Trout in five tributaries were implanted with radio transmitters and the fish were monitored multiple times per week to evaluate movement, habitat use, and survival. Analysis of survival data examined the effects of covariates (stream, stream size, and fish size) on survival of both trout species.
