Chapter 13: Construction & Demolition
Construction and demolition material (C&D) is the by-product of construction, renovation, deconstruction, and demolition projects. Development in Austin has grown significantly as the population and business community has expanded over the past decade (1). As a result, the volume of C&D material generated has increased correspondingly (2) and is a high diversion priority in order to make progress towards the City’s Zero Waste Goal.
