Multibeam backscatter imagery extracted from gridded bathymetry of Vailulu'u, American Samoa, an active volcano that lies between Ta'u Island and Rose Atoll, American Samoa. These data provide coverage between 500 and 3000 meters. The backscatter dataset includes data collected using the Simrad EM300 multibeam sonar. The sonars frequency is 30 kHz. These metadata are for the 5 m grid cell size Simrad em300 multibeam backscatter data only.
