The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and bottle data were collected in SE Atlantic (limit-20 W) as part of Benguela Source and Transport (BEST) study from June 1, 1992 to November 3, 1993 using ship DISCOVERY. The BEST project was designed to investigate the transport of the Benguela Current and the ratio of the Agulhas Current and South Atlantic source water masses. Data was collected by Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Palisades, NY and submitted by Dr. Arnold L. Gordon to NODC. Very good description accompanies the data.
