Data for paper: Merrill N, Mazzotta M, Mulvaney K, et al. The value of water quality for coastal recreation in New England, USA
Estimating economic values for improvements in water quality demonstrates the scale of benefits when compared against the more tangible costs of policy. We used revealed preference, travel cost methods to show the value of water quality improving efforts in the coastal waters of New England. Despite the challenges combining social and environmental data, we demonstrate promising methods for large scale benefits analysis.
