Data Layers for 2007 Mammal Inventory, NETN and SAHI

Published by National Park Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2007-01-01T00:00:00Z
This feature classes are randomized grids generated using ArcObjects for ArcGIS version 8.1. The park boundary defines the area for which grid cells were generated. The grid origin is the lower left corner of the park boundary coverage. Randomization was achieved by randomly locating the lower left corner of the grid within a specified distance of the southwestern-most extent of the park boundary coverage. This data set includes only those cells which have their center within the park boundary. For a detailed description of the spatial sampling design and sampling-point allocation for which this data set was developed, see: Gilbert, A.T., O'Connell, A.F., Jr., Annand, E.M., Talancy, N.W., Sauer, J.R., and Nichols, J.D. 2008.
