A pilot project entitled, "Develop a Spatial Management Evaluation Tool for American Samoa and Guam”, branded Fish-BANC (Fish-Based Area Necessary Credit)." This project was executed by @Orchard, LLC for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO), via Contract #1305M424D0026, Task Order #1305M324F0317. The data and model outputs focus on examining fish biological data around Guam and American Samoa, with outputs such as fish biomass, fish size, and fish spawning potential ratio (SPR). The priority fish species that were examined for Guam include: Chlorurus microrhinos, Chlorurus spilurus, and Naso lituratus. Whereas, the priority fish species that were examined for American Samoa include: Acanthurus lineatus, Naso lituratus, and Scarus rubroviolaceus. Data collection range varies 2000-20250929.
