DFPS Employees 1.2 Staff Tenure on 31 August by Program and Staff Type FY2016-2025
Supervisor refers to employees in a specific job classification, who have the responsibility of supervising caseworkers, investigators and special investigators.
Some past printed Data Books did not provide Tenure as Supervisor, but DFPS Tenure for Supervisors; therefore, the counts will not match the printed Data Books for those years.
Tenure with DFPS represents tenure with the agency and not in a specific position.
NOTE: Child Protective Investigations (CPI), Child Care Investigations (CCI), and Child Protective Services (CPS) Staff are all included in this dashboard.
Child Care Investigations (CCI), which is a part of CPI and include Day Care Investigations (DCI) and Residential Child Care Investigations (RCCI) are only available from 2018 onward. This is due to the split of those job functions from Child Care Licensing, which was a part of DFPS until 2017, when it was transferred to the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
This addresses Texas Human Resources Code Section 40.0516, subsection (a)(11).
