EK60 Water Column Sonar Data Collected During GU1901
1. Deploy various tags on GoMex whales
2. Photo and video documentation of GoMex whales, including via sUAS
3. Mid-water Trawls at select sites for whale prey identification
4. Recovery of short duration tags (camera and acoustic tags)
5. Collect tissue samples (biopsies) and eDNA of GoMex whales from R3 .
6. Deploy sonobuoys to collect recordings of the sounds produced by GoMex whales and of anthropogenic sounds
7. Collect oceanographic and environmental data including scientific echosounders (EK80) and acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) data to quantify acoustic backscatter due to small fish and zooplankton
8. AdHoc collection of vertical profiles of hydrographic parameters (e.g., temperature, salinity, oxygen concentration) via CTD and Expendable Bathythermographs (XBTs)
