SaKe 12. Five frequency (18, 38, 70, 120, and 200 kHz), split-beam echosounder data were collected on Shimada. The planned survey transects spanned an area from the northern tip of Vancouver Island (ca. 50° 53’ N latitude) to Piedras Blancas, California (ca. 35° 48’N latitude). The transects were separated by 10 n.mi. Due to weather constraints, the actual survey differed from the original plan, mainly by a reduction of of random transects north of San Francisco.
