NOAA Ship Pisces conducted a survey of reef fish located on the U.S. continental shelf and shelf-edge of the Gulf of Mexico from April 19 through June 22, 2022. Eighty blocks containing 536 sites were selected to be sampled with Spherical/Satellite array, bandit reels, and CTD during daylight hours. Individual sampling sites were supplied prior to sailing. Mapping was conducted at night at randomly selected areas near the following or previous day's sampling.
