Transatlantic. Coverage includes a swath of multibeam data with focus on a previously unidentified seabed feature in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The survey was conducted between 08/04 and 22/04 and consist of a single transit line collected from Galway to St. Johns. Survey was conducted at high speed of 10-12 kt due to time constrains and the need to reach the priority area in Canadian water where Oceanographic and Biological work had to be carried out on Ocean Eddies. The passage was affected by severe inclement weather who affected multibeam quality of the inital few days. Quality then became acceptable in proximity of the Mid Atlantic Ridge. Unfortunately the EM302 system stopped working the 13 of April due to electrical malfuntioning of few components and acquisition could not be resumed for the rest of the survey.
