Evaluating Manual Sampling Locations for Regulatory and Emergency Response Data Set 20200727

Published by U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) | U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | Metadata Last Checked: August 02, 2025 | Last Modified: 2020-07-27
This dataset includes the modeling and simulation results from an analysis of two drinking water distribution system models. The analysis included identifying optimal grab sample locations for both regulatory and emergency response scenarios. The locations were then evaluated against the scenarios for which they were not designed. The dataset includes the node IDs for the sampling locations and the fraction of contamination scenarios detected by the locations. This dataset is associated with the following publication: Haxton, T., K. Klise, D. Laky, R. Murray, C. Laird, and J. Burkhardt. Evaluating Manual Sampling Locations for Regulatory and Emergency Response. JOURNAL OF WATER RESOURCES PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT. American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Reston, VA, USA, 147(12): 04021081 1-11, (2021).
