Fishery Economic Performance Measures
NOAA Fisheries has established a national set of economic performance indicators to monitor the economic health of the nation’s fisheries (Brinson et al., 2015). The PIFSC Socioeconomics Program has used this framework to evaluate select regional fisheries; specifically, the Hawaii Longline, American Samoa Longline, and Hawaii bottomfish fisheries.
