Fishing effort study of private and rental boats returning to private-access sites in southern California, 2008 through 2009 to compare field-based fishing effort estimates with telephone survey estimates generated by the California Recreational Fisheries Survey (CRFS). The data include day-time hourly counts of recreational fishing boats and anglers, non-fishing passengers aboard recreational fishing boats, non-fishing boats and passengers, and missed boats returning to southern California marinas. Samplers were positioned at marina entrances to count returning boats. The data include weather conditions encountered during field sampling. This data and metadata were submitted by California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Staff though the Data Management Plan (DMP) framework with the id: DMP000485.
