Frank Miller Vegetation and Disturbance History Map 1938 Raster Image

Published by National Park Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2009-09-30T00:00:00Z
The Frank Miller vegetation and disturbance history map, which was drawn in 1938, was scanned using a Vidar color scanner at 600 DPI. The map was originally separated into two segments. A digital image of each segment was brought into ArcMap. Each piece was Georeferenced based on the coordinates given on the map and was then Clipped based on the same coordinates to remove any white space. The Mosaic tool was then used to join the map pieces into one large image. The image was then projected using UTM17N as the basis for the projection.
