Published by National Park Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 07, 2026 | Last Modified: 2025-12-08T00:00:00Z
Fire effects monitoring data collected at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond, MO. The data were collected during spring, summer, and fall field seasons by the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network 2010- 2024. The GWCA FFI database primarily contains fuels monitoring and fire severity data, but also includes disturbance history data. Data refer exclusively to grassland monitoring plots. Data were collected from 50 x 20 m plots. Grassland protocols focus on the two 50 m transects per plot. The published protocol can be found on the HTLN website (Leis et. al. 2011) http://science.nature.nps.gov/im/units/htln/library/Vegetation/PlantComm/PlantCom_2009_p.pdf.
