Golden-cheeked warbler potential habitat, low and medium-to-high predicted densities

Published by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2025-01-01T00:00:00Z
These features delimit areas with predicted densities of golden-cheeked warblers of 0.04 to 0.10 males per hectare and greater than 0.10 males per hectare. Areas smaller than 1 hectare were removed. These areas included locations of 97.4% of the golden-cheeked warblers detected in the survey by Mueller et al. (2022). This shapefile is based on the habitat model in Mueller et al. (2022). This model was based on imagery from 2015-2016 and surveys in 2018. Mueller, J. M., S. E. Sesnie, S. E. Lehnen, H. T. Davis, J. J. Giocomo, J. N. Macey, and A. M. Long. 2022. Multi-scale species distribution model for conserving an endangered songbird. Journal of Wildlife Management: e22236.
