Grain size analysis data collected by sediment corer and sediment grabber casts in the Chukchi sea from 1986-08-29 to 1987-10-07 (NCEI Accession 9500158)
Grain size analysis data were collected by using sediment corer and sediment grabber casts in the Chukchi Sea and NW Coast of Alaska by the Chukchi Sea. Data were collected and submitted by the University of Alaska in Fairbanks; Institute of Marine Science. Grain size analysis data include sediment properties, sediments - dry weight, and sediments - particle size fractions. Data were collected from 29 August 1986 to 07 October 1987.
The format of these data files is designed to support studies of sediment type and characteristics in offshore and near shore areas that may be affected by outer continental shelf (OCS) activities such as contaminant discharge or alteration by physical, chemical or biological pressures. Bottom samples and other sediment collections may also be reported using this format.
