Published by National Aeronautics and Space Administration | National Aeronautics and Space Administration | Metadata Last Checked: August 03, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-07-17
This data set consists of a series of images of the Moon showing radar scaled echo power. Each covers about 400 square kilometers of the lunar surface, and contains two co-registered images. Transmitted signal was right-circular polarization, images are therefore left-circular and right-circular. Images are projected as Mercator maps for latitudes less than 16 degrees, Lambert (small-angle cone) between 16 and 48 degrees, Lambert (large-angle cone) between 48 and 80 degrees, and polar stereographic between 80 and 90 degrees.
