Herpetofauna Inventory at Buck Island Reef National Monument in 2001 – Open Format Dataset
DUring the year of 2001, a herpetofaunal inventory was conducted at Buck Island (BUIS) off the coast of Florida in an effort to try to find and record a comprehensive list of the species found within the parks. To achieve this goal an opportunistic encounter survey was conducted. In an effort to comply with Executive Order 13642, Making Open and Machine Readable the New Default for Government Information (GPO 2013), almost 20 years after this inventory project ended, the numerous datasets created as a result of the study were cleaned and processed in order to become machine readable and accessible to the public.
