The California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment, and Retention System (CalHEERS) is an automated system that serves as a consolidated system support for eligibility, enrollment, and retention for the California Health Benefit Exchange (also known as Covered California). This portal, or "bridge" targets Covered California applicants for medical coverage that may be eligible for CalFresh based on their income information (200% FPL or below), and allows to apply for CalFresh directly from CalHEERS/Covered California. Applicants can also apply for CalWORKS directly from CalHEERS.
