Hydrologic and Water Quality System HUC2 regions data

Published by U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) | U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | Metadata Last Checked: August 02, 2025 | Last Modified: 2024-03-12
The study results and data used and produced in this study along with developed R-programming based parallel processing calibration approach are available through Texas Data Repository at https://doi.org/10.18738/T8/A9X5ET (Srinivasan et al., 2023). The data also includes the necessary information to reproduce the figures and tables presented in the study. The calibrated parameter values are also available through the HAWQS (Hydrologic and Water Quality System; https://hawqs.tamu.edu/#/). Although this manuscript covers only phase I (HUC2-02 Mid-Atlantic Region) results of the study, calibration data for all 18 HUC2 regions across CONUS will be available through the Texas Data Repository and HAWQS as this national scale calibration project progresses. Calibration parameter sets and watershed calibrations statistics for HUC2 regions 01 to 12 are available through the TDR and HAWQS. For additional information, please contact the corresponding author. This dataset is associated with the following publication: Bawa, A., K. Mendoza, R. Srinivasan, R. Parmar, D. Smith, K. Wolfe, J. Johnston, and J. Corona. Calibration using R-programming and parallel processing at the HUC12 subbasin scale in the Mid-Atlantic region: Development of national SWAT hydrologic calibration. ENVIRONMENTAL MODELLING & SOFTWARE. Elsevier Science, New York, NY, 176: 106019, (2024).
