This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. Horizons, Incorporated of Rapid City, South Dakota acquired the aerial photography for BADL. Forty-seven flight lines were used to cover the entire project area (Figure 8). Flight lines were flown and photographs taken on June 16, 18, and 26, 1997. A total of 2,461 color-infrared (CIR) photographs were taken at 1:12,000 (1"=1,000') scale and printed as 9"x9" contact glass positives. Overlap between photos is approximately 50-60% and sidelap between flight lines is approximately 20-30%.
