Imagery data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here.
Color infrared (CIR) aerial photographs of Chattahoochee River NRA at 1:12,000 scale was acquired by Aero-Metric, Inc. on May 11, 2011. These photos were scanned and converted to digital orthophotographs at 0.3-meter (1-ft) resolution before they were delivered to the National Park Service. Digital orthophotographs and hardcopy photographs in both film transparency and paper print formats were provided to the University of Georgia Center for Geospatial Research. A total of 142 photos in 14 flight lines were required to cover the park.
