Imagery data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Fort Bowie National Historic Site
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here.
The geographic area of coverage purchased was large, including Chiricahua National Monument, Fort Bowie NHS, and the mountainous area between the two. The imagery was acquired in two swaths (Pan swath 1 and Multi swath 1, and Pan swath 2 and Multi swath 2 in Table 2-1) on April 15 and 20, 2005. The larger of the two swaths of imagery was initially too big to work with in ERDAS Imagine v.8.7 (>2GB), so the image was subset in ENVI software prior to georectification and analysis.
