This dataset provides a listing of resident and non-resident insurance producers licensed to sell excess and surplus lines insurance to Iowans. The Iowa Insurance Division is responsible for issuing licenses or authority for many types of regulated individuals dealing with insurance related products. Individuals interested in becoming either a resident or non-resident insurance producer licensed in the state of Iowa need to apply through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) online system. Those wishing to become a resident insurance producer licensed in the state of Iowa must successfully pass the appropriate Iowa producer licensing exam for that specific line of authority. To add additional lines of authority, a resident or non-resident insurance producer licensed in the state of Iowa need to apply through the NIPR online system. Resident insurance producers wishing to add a line of authority must successfully pass the appropriate Iowa producer licensing exam for that specific line of authority. This dataset provides a listing of resident and non-resident insurance producers licensed to sell to Iowans.
