Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities: Continuous Temperature Logger Data on the Mississippi-Alabama Shelf from 2022-06-01 to 2024-08-20 (NCEI Accession 0308388)
This dataset contains files produced by HOBO TidbiT UTBI-001 continuous temperature loggers (n=6) deployed from the R/V Point Sur and positioned by ROV Mohawk and ROV Beagle during Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities (MDBC) expeditions PS-22-22 and PS-23-23. Loggers deployed from PS-22-22 recorded temperature data from 2022-06-01 through 2023-05-17 and were recovered on PS-23-23. Loggers deployed from PS-23-23 recorded temperature data from 2023-05-17 through 2024-08-20 and were recovered on PS-25-08. A total of six temperature datasets at five unique sites are included. Deployment sites’ coordinates are also provided.
