National Wildlife Refuge System Fishing and Hunting Opportunities
In accordance with the Federal Duck Stamp Act of 2014 (Pub. L. 113-264), which amended the Duck Stamp Act, all amounts in excess of $15 received from the sale of each Duck Stamp are deposited into a Migratory Bird Conservation Fund (MBCF) sub-account that can only be used for conservation easement acquisition. This Act also established reporting requirements for MBCF expenditures, and requires the Service to identify areas open and closed to hunting and fishing. This dataset identifies fiscal year 2015 hunting and fishing opportunities on National Wildlife Refuges and Wetland Management Management Districts.
