The eagle data came from surveys conducted by Lake Clark National Park and Preserve (LACL) under the Southwest Alaska Network (SWAN) protocol. The database with the cleaned field data is also housed on IRMA repository. On 6 May 2015, T. L. Wilson obtained a query of the full dataset of all records pertaining to eagle occupancy and pre-fledgling chick counts. The data were rearranged, and reformatted for analysis by the BUGS code reported in the paper.
