The Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) consists of monthly satellite-gauge and associated precipitation error estimates and covers the period January 1983 to the present. For GPCP V3 monthly precipitation, the primary outputs include combined satellite-gauge precipitation rate, combined satellite-gauge precipitation random error, multi-satellite precipitation, wind-loss adjusted gauge precipitation, and probability of liquid phase, among others. The product is archived on a 0.5-degree global grid.
