NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Atlas 1994 (11 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098057)
Observed and standard level profile data (along with quality control flags) used in the production of these atlases were made available in a World Ocean Atlas 1994 CD-ROM series (referred to herein as WOA94). In addition, the series contains the objectively analyzed one-degree latitude-longitude mean fields for each of the measured parameters, and two derived parameters (Apparent Oxygen Utilization and Oxygen Saturation), and five-degree square statistics of standard level values.
WOA94-01 contains the objectively analyzed one-degree latitude-longitude mean fields for temperature;
WOA94-02 contains the mean salinity fields plus five-degree square statistics of standard level values for all parameters;
WOA94-03 contains the mean fields for oxygen, Apparent Oxygen Utilization, oxygen saturation, phosphate, silicate and nitrate;
WOA94-04 Observed data: North Atlantic (0-40N), North Indian, South Indian;
WOA94-05 Observed data: North Atlantic (40N-90N), South Atlantic;
WOA94-06 Observed data: North Pacific (0-30N), South Pacific;
WOA94-07 North Pacific (30-90N);
WOA94-08 Standard level data: Atlantic and Indian;
WOA94-09 Standard level data: Pacific;
WOA94-10 Yearly temperature anomaly fields;
WOA94-11 Corrections.
Discs may be created by burning the appropriate .iso file(s) in the data/0-data/disc_image/ directory to blank CD-ROM media using standard CD-ROM authoring software. Software that was developed or provided with this NODC Standard Product may be included in the disc_image/ directory as part of a disc image, but executable software that was developed or provided with this NODC Standard Product has been excluded from the disc_contents/ directory.
