One-third Octave Band Sound Pressure Levels at 1 Hertz and 1 Hour Resolution Recorded at SanctSound Site PM02_01

Published by NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce | Metadata Last Checked: January 27, 2026 | Last Modified: 2022-02-08T00:00:00.000+00:00
This record represents the one-third octave band sound pressure levels (TOLs) derived from raw passive acoustic data. TOLs were calculated by integration of PSD estimates of the mean-square pressure (µPa^2) with a 1 Hz/1 second resolution over each of 30 one -third octave bands with the nominal center frequencies ranging from 25 to 20000 Hz (IEC 61260-1995). The resulting TOLs with the 1 second resolution were then used to calculate hourly TOLs as a median over no less than 1,782 1-second values for that hour and were converted to decibels (dB re 1 µPa).These data were recorded at SanctSound Site PM02_01 between October 01, 2019 and May 28, 2020.
