A composition (A) for dyeing keratin fibers comprises a dyeing medium containing at least one pyrrolidine ring-containing tertiary cationic p-phenylene diamine (I) and at least one surfactant (II) selected from (a) oxyalkylenated ether carboxylic acids and their salts and (b) mono- or poly-glycerolated nonionic surfactants. Independent claims are included for: (a) an oxidation dyeing process for keratin fibers, involving applying (A) to the fibers in presence of an oxidizing agent (B); and (b) a multi-compartment device (dyeing kit), having one compartment containing (A) and another compartment containing (B).
